Hiring a professional photographer and videographer is great, but there are many other ways for you and your guests to leave the wedding with visual keepsakes to remember by. These ideas will show you that no matter your budget or aesthetic for your wedding, there are plenty of options that will capture those little and big moments on your special day. Keep reading for a variety of personal ways to collect footage and heartwarming moments on your wedding day!

QR CODE

QR codes are perfect for an affordable option. All guests can add their favorite pictures and videos at the end of the night to create a gallery that all attendees can access. No more hassle to figure out who took what pictures when they can all be found in one place. Simple signs can also easily be incorporated into a tablescape design!
Disposable Cameras

For an option that still allows guests to take pictures but keeps them off their phones you can utilize disposable cameras. The imperfections in some pictures can add a personal and humorous touch while still capturing precious moments. Cost can be determined by many factors such as how many cameras you provide, the brand, and customization you do to the camera itself. For display, try dedicating a table, placing them by a backdrop, or save space by setting one on each dining table.
Polaroid Camera

Similar to disposable cameras, but giving almost instant results, you can use polaroid cameras. The photos themselves can be used in many ways: keepsakes for guests, additions to a guest book, or added to a display at the wedding that can later be turned into framed artwork for the newlyweds!
Photo Booth

A photo booth with printed strips adds an interactive, nostalgic element to your wedding—and it's a hit with guests of all ages. Unlike traditional posed photos, photo booths encourage spontaneity, fun props, and genuine expressions. Guests get an instant printed strip to keep or paste into a guestbook. It’s a beautiful way to capture authentic moments and suits a vintage themed wedding or one that wants to provide a variety of entertainment for guests!
Vlog

Utilize different types of camera footage to create a vlog of your wedding! Whether it's on your phone, digital camera, camcorder, or professional camera, taking small moments of your wedding and editing them into a vlog can be a great way to look back on the day. Try focusing on a specific part such as the getting ready process to give the vlog an even more specific theme. Take the opportunity of the editing process as a sweet project for you and your spouse to work on or have someone from the wedding party edit it for you as a surprise. It can be a great way for the couple to see parts of each other's day that they otherwise wouldn’t be able to. This project can be customized in so many ways and will leave you with a beautiful montage of personal moments from the day.
